Formed in the early 1960s, the jamaicans Maytals who started recording for producer Clement "Coxsone" Dodd at Studio One, had a reputation for having strong, well-blended voices, thanks to their frontman Toots Hibbert.
This hit tune is from the album with the same name (Reggae Got Soul) featuring Ken Boothe, Marcia Griffiths amongst others, and released in 1976 on Island Records.
