“The Unclouded Day” is a Traditional Church Hymn that was written in the late 1800s written by a “traveling preacher” named Josiah K. Alwood. The words came to him after he’d taken a late night horseback ride under a beautiful sky, as he saw a rainbow against a dark cloud covering half the sky, while the other half was perfectly clear.
