This song brings back the sweet memories of my pre teen years. I was maybe one of the luckiest boys to grow up where I did. My siblings and I grew up five miles from the nearest town. Our playground was a four mile square area that included a stream, a swimming hole, lots of woods and yes a railroad track.
Well, one summer day my younger brother and I came out of the woods and walked up to a freight train stopped on the track. The brakeman in the caboose hollered at us to come on over and climb aboard. He said, "Now the trains gonna start moving but you boys can ride a ways if you want to." He gave us specific instructions how to step off the slow moving train. I still remember the inside of that caboose.
